Sport
For Saint Gabriel’s School, sport is an essential pillar of students’ education and learning. Thus, healthy living and sports are encouraged from the earliest years of development. The sports taught are: track and filed, cross country, rugby, hockey, boys’ and girls’ soccer, and boys’ and girls’ volleyball.
All of these events are primarily held at our stadium located in Lo Fontecilla, Las Condes. Sports practice and many recreational activities are held there for different members of the community. Depending on the type of match, activities are also held at other facilities, such as the sports fields of other member schools of the Association of British Schools of Chile (ABSCh) or clubs. Our sports program places special emphasis on teaching values through sports, highlighting the concept of “fair play” in every instance.
As sport is one of the pillars of Saint Gabriel’s School, we were pioneers in expanding our sports offerings and joining the UC School Sports program. We were also one of the first British schools to offer boys’ volleyball.
